Micromouse is one of the most complex and challenging robotics competition in the world. The micromouse kit is a specially designed compact, AVR based robotic platform ideally suited for Micromouse and other AI based applications. Various experiments related to AI and embedded systems can be performed using this as a development platform.

Robot Controller:

The micromouse is powered by the iBoard AVR having the following features:

ATMega16 Microcontroller with 16kB flash memory working at 16 MIPS
Built in ISP (In System Programming) circuit
On board regulated power supply
Wide operating voltages 7V-15V
2 on board Dual full H bridge motor driver for 2 stepper or 4 DC motors
600mA per channel of motors
Separate ON/OFF switch for power and motor drivers
3 LEDs for status or debugging purposes
3 ON/OFF switches for external inputs/interrupts
8 bit port for sensor connections
On board UART communication circuit
On board ADC test potentiometer
On board LCD connector (Included 16 x 2 LCD with backlight)

Sensors:

Sidewall Sensor (left, right and center) with ambient light protection

Red LED for easy visibility
Surface Mount Technology for compact size

Mechanical Construction:

Wheelchair drive arrangement (2 wheel drive + front and back castors)
High quality mild steel laser cut chassis
Plastic wheels with rubber grip

Electrical Features:

2 x 12V Unipolar stepper motors
12V rechargeable AAA size NiMH battery pack
Power Supply cum charger
